  • Tarot Reading Techniques Using Colors with Rider Waite Cards

.Colors can’t be considered rules for fortune-telling. These days, with so many different card designs available, it’s impossible to use colors as a rule for predicting the same thing across all decks. However, if you’re a Rider Waite reader, you can still use colors for fortune-telling, as the meanings of these cards are so clear that they can’t be overlooked.

Using color in Tarot readings can help you discern emotional states. Current and upcoming situations can be predicted almost instantly using color. Just a quick glance can tell you which tone a particular prediction will turn out to be, positive or negative. Sometimes, we even use color in our predictions without even looking at the cards themselves to assess the situation, whether it’s positive or negative. It’s hard to say that color isn’t important. Let’s try to prove it with some data.

Remember, the color meanings discussed here apply only to the Rider Waite deck. They may or may not apply to other decks.

    1. Gold or Yellow – This is probably one of the most visible colors. It signifies brightness, radiance, freshness, clarity, and a bright red, etc. It may or may not mean something positive, but whether it’s actually positive remains to be seen. Cards with gold coloring are usually good cards with positive connotations, such as The Sun, The Lovers, The Magician, and the Money card.
    2. Blue – This is another color that’s often seen. The color blue in English is “blue,” which also has another meaning: sadness. Therefore, blue primarily refers to emotion, whether good or bad. However, when emotions are often mentioned, they often refer to gloom, anxiety, agitation, or gloom. On the other hand, good can also refer to a happy mood. So, if there’s a lot of blue, it usually means a time when personal emotions are involved.
    3. White – represents cleanliness, purity, and goodness. This is often found on clothing, symbolizing purity of heart, such as The Empress, the undergarment of The Fool, The Magician, and The Hierophant.
    4. Black – Where there’s white, there must be black. The meaning of black is inevitably the opposite of white. Therefore, it represents darkness, evil, wickedness, concealment, concealment, and uncertainty, such as The Devil, Death, and the Ten Swords.
    5. Gray – A color that combines black and white. Therefore, it signifies both good and bad, some suffering, not always pleasant or pleasant. Sometimes, it can also signify uncertainty and uncertainty.
    6. Red – This color represents enthusiasm, energy, fire, and activity. In a negative sense, it can also signify impatience, rashness, and haste. For example, The Magician’s shirt has this meaning.
    7. Green – Often signifies abundance and tranquility. The Empress is particularly prominent in this.

This is also the meaning of the colors prominently found in the Rider Waite deck. These colors can help us develop predictions and better understand the overall situation. For example, if the 10 cards of the Celtic Cross deck are mostly gray, we can immediately know that the person is experiencing suffering and sadness, and their life is definitely uncertain. This will help us understand the tone of the prediction and help us find a better solution.

  • Advice for Beginners

I wrote this article with the intention of providing additional guidance to beginners, or even seasoned readers who are still hesitant to learn tarot on their own. The advice I’ve provided in this article should provide a good guideline. Please take a look.

Always remember that the cards are just a warning.

One thing that tarot readers need to remember is that each deck of cards is merely a warning that the events shown on the cards, whether good or bad, are likely to occur. Do not assume that they will definitely happen, as your prediction may change them. Therefore, the prediction should be prepared. If it’s good, seize it quickly. If it’s bad, be prepared and be cautious.

Every card has both good and bad.

Always remember that every card has both good and bad sides, even The Sun and The World. Each card can have its own set of negatives, and the strength of each card varies.

Never forget the rules of fortune telling.

Here are four rules that are strictly forbidden:

    1. Predicting someone’s lifespan and death date – This should be clarified as follows:
    2. Predicting someone’s lifespan and death date should be omitted. For example, if your father is seriously ill, whether he will survive or not. If the cards show that the situation is not positive, never predict death.
    3. Never predicting a breakup – This should be clarified as predicting a breakup of a lover or a divorce. This is absolutely forbidden. It will bring bad karma to you.
    4. Never predict which child is better – This should be understandable.
    5. Never predict too much about your parents – This isn’t strictly forbidden, but from my personal experience, I recommend against it.

You can ask the cards to verify these things. Reading them is fine, but you shouldn’t predict.

So what do you do if a client asks about these things that are forbidden?

    I have the following options:

    1. Tell them that it’s forbidden and I won’t do predictions.
    2. If it can’t be avoided, then you should have them read. If the results are not good, then you should have them read. Instead, simply provide a solution (which can be read from the cards).
    3. We shouldn’t lie about the results of our predictions. Not only will this make you an inaccurate fortune teller, but it will also give clients false hope.

For example, if a question like, “My father is seriously ill. Will he survive?” If the cards show a negative outcome (such as the Death or Tower card), an example answer would be, “My father’s condition is very serious.” If the Death card is drawn, you might say, “Try making merit and dedicating it to him” or “Try seeking additional medical advice from other hospitals.” If the Tower card is drawn, you might suggest changing hospitals or fortune tellers.

If the question concerns a partner, spouse, or child, just read the pros and cons. Don’t suggest which one is better. This is not our job. We have no right to judge anyone’s life.

There are four reasons why predictions may be inaccurate.

    1. You lack concentration or insufficient skills. Blame yourself first.
    2. The person who is being treated is unable to concentrate, is overly excited, afraid of the cards, or is overly anxious.
    3. The person who is being treated has a special ability! (There are spirits, guardian spirits, child spirits, or hidden karma that prevents fortune telling.) This is difficult to prove, but I’ve experienced it.
    4. People who come to test you!! – This is the scariest and most difficult to deal with.

Don’t be afraid to make a wrong prediction.
Wrong predictions teach you how to make right predictions. Every fortune teller has made a mistake, but learn and improve to make fewer and fewer mistakes. If you’re afraid to make a wrong prediction, you’ll never be able to make a right prediction.

Read a lot of Dharma books.
Dharma books will help you understand the principles of problem-solving because you must also share your solution with the person you’re seeing. Using Dharma to solve problems is the easiest and most effective method (at least mentally).

The most difficult things about tarot reading are:

    1. Thoroughly understanding the meaning – difficult
    2. Analyzing the meaning of the cards to match the question – even more difficult
    3. Giving the prediction – the most difficult, because you must speak constructively, offer strength and encouragement, avoid lying, and avoid rules. Your words have a direct impact, so be very careful.

It’s true that tarot reading has many difficulties, but it’s the easiest of all the other methods. Understanding the future isn’t easy, but it’s not too difficult either. With perseverance, you’ll surely succeed. This course can serve as a good “guideline” for life..
